Indian Troubles 1756 - Near Depuy Area

“Philadelphia, February 5. In our last Mention was made of Mr. Daniel1 Dupuy’s House being beset by a Number of Indians, but that they were beat off by Capt. Salnave, and a Party of his Men, who came very opportunely to his Relief, and saved his House, for that Time. We have Advice since, that Mr. Dupuy not thinking it safe to stay at his Place any longer, removed into the Jerseys’ upon which the Indians returned and burnt it, and every Thinkg Else they could find. 2 – The N.
